on my old D16A8 they were 10mm

which leads me to say,yes d16A8 has an int. shaft

is that 10mm as in the head of the bolt? cause i checked the size with another bolt i found and its a 14mm head, which i guess it could be a 10mm shaft, however, the thing i mainly needed to know was the length of the bolts so i could get the right ones ie not to short or not to long

and the engine is a d16a8 and as far as im aware all the d series have intermediate shafts

cheers

10mm as in M10 thread and most honda bolts this size have a 1.25mm thread pitch.

dont know the length sorry but be aware they are dowel bolts, meaning they have a solid shaft between the head & the thread to locate the bracket solidly.
if u dont use dowel bolts u risk the int shaft falling out of alignment, with possibility of vibrations, oil seal wear or even diff wear.

maybe best to pull one out & match it up or measure the internal diameter of the bracket holes & make sure the shaft on the new bolts matches pretty close.

also not all D's have int shafts

Not true.

I think it might only be "ZC" d-series.

for d series only the d16a8 powered civic and crx had a midshaft. (eg5 si,ed8 crx in oz) all others have 2 shafts , passenger side twice length of drivers.

fyi the midshaft has 3 14mm headed bolts , they run a slightly thicker sleeve and are about 2 inches long
