G'day
Im wondering if it is possible to get a JDM K20A from a '05 DC5 dropped into a EG Hatch. Im confident that it's possible because I've heard a mate talking about it being done.

Is it possible to get an engineers certificate for the engine too...
Sorry if these are repeated and newb questions, but Im after direct answers.

Thanks.

Ok Benson, I just checked.. Just for you...

Theres no information on the possibility of getting a EG Civic registered with a JDM K20A in it.. So could you enlighten me?

Atleast direct me to a post which could answer my questions, because I couldn't find one.

Any idea how I would go about getting the car registered with that engine in it? Or would it have to be ... Dodgy? :S

You would have to get it engineered to meet the requirements in your state.

I did search it, as I said... Searching didn't answer all my questions..

And Benson, By legit... You mean not flogged aye? So if I was to buy a half cut which was imported from Japan, this would be legit, yes?

K20A in EG hatch is legit!
You can register it if you got engineer cert.

but to put a k20a into a civic----that would cost a pretty penny and be quite a job.. why not go b18c7?

7k for halfcut, another 7kish for the shit to put it in.

why not b18?

its also got more power. and more torque
