Hi Guys,

As most of our fellow Odyssey owners know, getting factory accessories for our car, not to mention after market parts, can be a pain.

Usually we either have to ask the traders here or get friends overseas to get the parts for us. As an alternative, I have been talking to a Honda Stockist in Singapore that maybe able to get supply some parts. If anyone is interested in using that avenue, please PM me and I can pass on their contact details.

Briefly, the order process that I have worked out with them is as follows:
1) Contact via either phone or e-mail
2) Ask for quotation of parts including transportation fare from Japan to Singapore (either by Surface or Air) and then from Singapore to Oz (via Singapore Post)
3) If happy with quote ask for total amount and transfer monies via Paypal.
4) E-mail with receipt is scanned and sent back you
5) Wait for parts to come (May have to pay GST, custom and import tax depending on items).

Conditions you need to note:
1) Need to supply them with part numbers as Japan parts and Australia parts may have different part numbers. To help find part numbers click here (http://209.85.171.104/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.nst-auto.com/hnd/odyssey/index.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3D08V38%2BSFE%2BF00%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG)
2) 4% Paypal charges will be added on top of final amount
3) There is size and weight restrictions for items coming over via Sinapore Post (max 20kg, size not too sure, but my Modulo rear wing could not come through, due to length and depth)

Please note that I have only dealt with them twice myself and assume no responsibility as to what happens during your transactions inc. charges the parts may incur when entering Oz. I'm just trying to help fellow Odyssey owners find avenues to get parts not available here. I'm not trying to sell parts or run a business, so don't ask me to get parts.

If there are other ways to get parts that you think might be cheaper or less risky, please suggest.

To give examples, I have ordered a few bits from them these include small items like
a set of Modulo emblems

JDM Blue lens fog light kit(08V31-SAA-000E and 08V38-SFE-F00) - Yet to be fitted
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee128/rb1odc/IMG_0086.jpg
and a JDM Absolute Gear shift knob(54130-SFE-N81) - Still waiting for it.
http://unotaku.boo.jp/od/kozaiku/image/shift_knob1.JPG

I also got a JDM Absolute foot pedal set (46545-SFE-R81 and 46992-SFE-R80) from another shop, but I think the Stockist would be able to get them to.

Accelerator and brake is 46545-SFE-R81
Foot rest is 46992-SFE-R80

For the accelerator pedal, need to change the entire arm, brake pedal need to drill 3 holes into backing plate. Foot rest unplug and replace.

Step by step guide can be found here (http://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://unotaku.boo.jp/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://unotaku.boo.jp/%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG)

Oh yes in case anybody is wondering what I'm talking about when I say JDM Absolute, it is the JDM sports model for the Odyssey called the Odyssey Absolute, main distinguishing features from our common varity Odyssey is the 200 bhp engine(vs 160 bhp), factory body kit, factory 18" rims, factory HIDs, tri-spoke steering wheel, sports padels and shift knob

mate lets not get ahead of ourselves here... I got pretty excited when I found the Pedals :p

Haven't seen any ready made ones, just DIY ones like this

Thought I might post up some pics of the parts installed

JDM blue lens Foggies. Honda wanted to charge me $190 to install them, so I decided to try my hand at DIY.

Before I started

After removing front bumper, cutting inserts for the foggies and then assembling it on the front bumper
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee128/rb1odc/IMG_0143a.jpg

Trying to figure out the wiring.. quite a challange when you don't read Jap

Finished Product

Night testing. will have to adjust the angle of the foggies, seem to be shining too much downwards and not projecting the light forwards. Photograhper isn't too skilled so everything looks yellow here. Looking at the fog lights head on the light is yellow, but looking at the light projected, it comes out more whitish blue, must be because of the lens colour.

I started at 10:30 am and finished at 4:30 in the afternoon

JDM Absolute Sports pedals took me about 2 hours because I had to go out and get a proper drill bit that could drill through the brake padel. But other that than quite easy to install
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee128/rb1odc/IMG_0183.jpg

JDM Absolute Sports shift knob took me literally 2 minutes to swap over, it's that easy

What the interior looks like with the pedals and shift knob

Small cosmetic changes that does nothing for performance :p

Heh - your GPS is mounted in the same place as mine! When I get around to it, I plan on breaking out the power wiring, and hiding the cable through to the cradle.

On the light alignment - I recall that foglights are supposed to spread rather than project, so perhaps your alignment is right after all?

A very nice looking bus :-)

Easiest place to access the GPS, anywhere else seems to be a bit too far away. Thought of hardwiring it also, but then I tend to transfer it from car to car, so decided to leave it alone.

lol .... I'm sure your Odyssey will look better than mine once you get your mods in. The colour itself is already better lookin than mine.

Thanks for the comments guys
