after getting an alignment, they said i need new rear bushes. car is lowered and therefore they are shot. im trying to decipher the quote and get new ones off ebay for them to install instead of their own. should be cheaper this way too.

Rear lower trailing - $96 from them

Rear Upper Link ( what bushes are these?) $30 from them

Upper Lateral Link $44 from them

R Suspension Fr Lat. Link Bush (WTF?) - $45

the trailing arm bushes are the only ones i can find that i need. where can you get the others from?

You could have a look at the local Nolathane Brand ("RedRanger" same parent company as whiteline) They don't have that great a range for honda's but they may have what you are looking for.

www.nolathane.com.au

or as ben said look on ebay.

Andrew

You don't have to get urathane. Just get rubber replacements. Just check the usual parts stores and compare prices. Repco, supercheap, Coventry etc... Coventry would be my first stop.

If you do want urathane ones. There are some locally made ones that the above stores should stock like the Nolathane ones mentioned above. If you want energy suspension I'd just get them from these guys. http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/products.asp?cat=1026

They also stock nolathane or moog parts for the stuff that energy suspension don't make.

I want to know this too cause there is 'rear trailing arm bushes' in the master kit but is that the same as 'lower'???

Typically the hyperflex kits don't seem to include the rear bushings. So no that kit probably won't have all the ones you'd need. It does seem to have the trailing arm ones though. The site I linked to has the Nolathane rear kits which would probably have all the ones you'd need. But I'm not totally familiar with the civic.

What the kit includes:

Front Control Arm Bushings

Front Shock Mount Bushings

Front Sway Bar Bushings

Rear Sway Bar Bushings

Front Coil Spring Isolators

Rear Coil Spring Isolators

Rear Trailing Arm Bushings

Transmission Shifter Stabilizer Bushings (manual transmission only)

Rack and Pinion Bushings

Front Ball Joint End Boots

Tie Rod End Boots

Rear trailing arm bushings are there...

why it doesn't included the Rear LCA bushes ?

ES doesn't make them

So the rear LCA bushes are the same as Rear lower trailing arm bushes?

Don't think so. Trailing arm bushes are the big ones that are at the front of the trailing arm. The big control arm that runs from front to back and the hub attaches to. The lower control arms are the small control arms that run sideways connecting the hub/trailing arm to the rear subframe. These are the ones (and the rear upper bushings) that aren't included in the hyper flex kit because ES doesn't make them. Need the Nolathane rear kit as well.

ps. I don't have a great idea about the range available for civics. I'm mainly going off my experiences with the accord.

Gotcha!
You would think if they dont make em' for the accord then the chances are they dont for the civic too...

+1 for joo!

contact the guy at www.energysusp.com.au. he can get everything on the US catalogue, you just need to ask him to put it on the webshop. as you can see, there's already some crx kits up there.

what bushes are the "rear upper L/link, upper lateral link and R Suspension Fr. Lat Link Bush?"

Sounds like the Upper Control Arm (camber arm connecting to the top of the trailing arm) and the Compensator Arm (toe arm connecting to the front of the trailing arm forward of the huge bushing).

Probably not worth changing unless they are dead. When inspecting them on my car, they looked fine after 295,000km of punishment. The trailing arm bushes on the other hand had seen better days.

gbang007

but is it worth changing since the trailing arm is going to be changed anyway
