Hey all,

I got my new mounts put in today, Hasport replacement 62 shore... **** do they vibrate! i couldnt imagine how bad the 80 ones are... do they soften up even a little bit... they are ****ing harsh as at low revs, and when i give it some gas off idle it feels like the motor is trying ti jump out of the bay...

on the upside, WOW it feel amazing to shift now, so positive and smooth... very impressed with that aspect, but to anyone who said its a LITTLE bit harsher than OEM in the 62 shore, youve got to be on some ****ing great ice... it is HEAPS worse!

Any thoughts?

**** do they vibrate!

Yeah the 3G civic B (well all Hasport Mounting Kits) are like that

The Vibrations are absolutely CRAZY

I dont think the mounts go soft after a while but just may

Good luck :D

yes ive got the same rating & they did soften up a little in weeks,i know what u mean, when i first started the engine after putting them in the vibrations on the steering wheel were making my hands go numb

i reckon i will get used to it.. but im worried about the mess it will make of the chassis... oh well... time will tell i suppose

just get your tools ready to tighten up all those newly discovered rattles & continue to tighten all the other things that seem to work their way loose.

hehehe i know you have bro! but you have no plastic panels in your car!!!!

LMFAO

seriously though, when i say chassis, im not talking about the 2 rails down the car, im talking about all the interconnecting bits that make up what is a monocoque shell which our cars are... it seriously seriously feels as though it will rattle the shit out of the car...

i suppose every step i take of late is turning the car into more and more of a compromise.. maybe time to take it off the road completely...

give it a week or 2. They'll soften up with less vibration. We run 90shore and it feels like 60shore now :P.

I have 3 hasport main mounts and 2 cusco torque mounts and the vibration is not that bad at all...I think it depends on the car as well...

DC2R has only 3 mounts....

zco

gearbox mount. passenger side mount, rear engine mount
and also 2 torque mounts, which are located under your chassis rail..
one near your crank pulley, and the other is the bracket on the front of your gearbox..

hahaha, it's horrible! don't lie.

But yeah, i remeber my first time with after market mounts, i was in tears. But over time you won't even notice they are there anymore.

Yeah you do get used to it over time, Im running 75 on three engine mounts and 60 on two torque mounts. I thought it was horrible when I first started driving with them, but Im used to it now. Most of mates think Im crazy for keeping them, but IMO it gives the car character lol

as chopper would say "harden the fcuk up!" hahaha, they should be fine, you will get used to it and before you know it you will love them. Im getting solid alumin mounts coming in in 2 weeks :) cant wait, as ZeForce said 'it give the car character' and adds to the driving experience!

I got hasports in mine also, 'street' level stiffness, and they were quite crazy at start, but now I think Im either used to it, plus the weather is getting warmer so the vibrations from motor calm down a bit, I was also told that the hasports run in a bit after 3000km or so, and so soften up that little bit on the idle vibrations

buy them. install them. when they soften up. replace them. LOL

markoJEK1
18-07-2008, 07:22 PM
.. Not talking about them softening up in the sense of them losing the stiffness in holding the motor, was saying it in the sense of the vibrations slightly decreased as they wear in a bit, as with any item would do, mostly you get used to it and find it as second nature

Zilli
18-07-2008, 08:58 PM
yeh i reckon you get used to it more than anything... the thing is it doesnt get driven enough to get it to soften up... anyways im over it
