Hey people, just after the correct way to attach the front piece and grill to the black assembly. The previous person decided sikaflex was enough, didn't work at all... Any takers?

you will have to remove the front bumper completely as the grill assembly (black surround) is bolted onto the bumper from behind.

but looking at your fotos, the last owner didn't know this and decided to just rip the thing off and has broken the clips that would normally hold it together.
i guess either sicaflex it back on or get a new one.

good luck

had no clips in the brand new oem box, this is brand new from Honda Japan....

in the oem box comes

x1 front grill
x1 black assembly
x1 painted front cover

that's it nothing else

I just dropped these off the the painter and he's just did this, looke good when I picked it up, just got off the phone to tell him to fix the thing, but would like any insight to pass on to him to fix it properly, I took it off by hand earlier, good thing I barely drive it anymore

try retrymoveing the bumper and removing the black surround then try joining them together, i have a feeling that you cant just fit them together while it is on the bumper as the bumper gets in the way.

by the way, where did you get the SI badge from?

it does look like some clips are needed somewhere, Just inquiring now with the trader who told them to me.

The Si badge I've had for ages, UK market item

problem is solved, thanks for the advice, ended up removing everything again & screwing it in in the end to secure the front fascia piece and re-installing to suit. Will post a few pics to show the difference in the near future
