creaking suspension DC5

Hi all

Have lowered my Base DC5 on kings lows and now the suspension is creaking everytime I go over a speed hump or hit a bump. Have put coil wrap over the front springs to see if it makes a difference but noise is still there. Very annoying! anyone have any ideas??

are you still running stock shockers? if you are that could be the problem, they will wear our much faster.

i have the same problem with my EG, i put ITR sussy with pedders lowered springs (new) and the rear creaks so much :S i thort maybe they need to be run in?

yes they're original shocks. Been thinking about putting some decent ones in. thanks...

i get a knocking noise from my suspension because of the fact i havent changed my stock shocks after i got my springs cut

the noise on mine coming mainly from the front but then at times it's allround. and started when the springs settled in and sat lower.Making me think about selling the car if I can't fix the problem...:(

get some new shocks to suit the springs, eibach or bilstein (sp?) are meant to be good.

and i get creaking noise aswell.

checked the bushes and they look in good condition. sounds like I will have to price some decent shocks...

my 05 type S makes a strange noise like that. mine isnt lowered and has only done 37k so yeah dont know if its just a problem with dc5???

Is the noise always there? mine is worse when the car is cold (which I know sounds strange) but I only just realised yesterday while driving with no music. Once the car warms up its not as bad (though still annoying).

DC5 crossmembers have a tendacy to crack near the sway bar mounts. Hard to see and diagnose unless you have the right equipment.

i had the same problem when my car was on king springs, but as soon as i installed tein coilovers, the creeking went away

yeah mine only makes the noise when its cold aswell. thanks for the advice guys looks like the buddy club n+ needs to come sooner than later!!
