would this be suitable for the outside of headlights aswell?

i had the same problem

then i used a cutting compound chemical (similar to a polish but its really strong as it can rip the whole paintjob off by continueslly rubbing it in)

now its all gooooooone :)

Ye i'd use either a plastic polish or a wax of your choice, i have used both in the past with success.

As for the lights, sandpaper, polish, and wax.

with the sand paper dnt use the real heavy and rough one or u will be visiting ur nearest wrecking yard for brand spanking new second hand ones hahaha

i think u need to use the very fine wet and dry sandpaper like 1200

look into it more champ if its that wat ur going to use

i used my cutting compound on my mums tail lights and it came out brand new (with no sand paper hehe)

yeah the plastic polish is great you can use it on the headlights and it gets rid of the foggy lookin headlights

i dont think you should use sand paper the plastic polish will work wonders

Trust me, 2nd gen Teg headlights need sandpaper, I wouldn't do it if it was going to stuff anything up. The lights are as good as new. Of course, it was wet and dry, and done in only one direction.

I also sandpapered my rear lights to get rid of the lettering in the plastic (save for a safety standards number); i wax my lights and hate the look of wax stuck inside the lettering.

Hmm, I'm sure there are a few pics of my lights from cruises floating around... I won't bore the oldies with more pics of the teg :)

But ye, if they're not all that bad then just use the plastic polish.

Theres a very good plastic cleaner, polisher called 'plexus' which will do the job.

i had the same problem with my mazda.. You should avoid spraying the dash/vinly protector around the steering wheel area.. or any area around the clusters. I just dont spray anything on at all.. just use a wind screen shield to block out the sun during sunny days and the dash should last a long time... or if you really want to.. spray some on a clean cotton cloth and give it a wipe..
