Hey,
I HAVE A BIGGG PROBLEM!!
I'm currently building up my d16y1 :D and in the process am replacing the original block with an already refurbished d16y4 block & crank assembly. Now it is time to put the d16y1 oil pump, timing belt gear and pulley back onto the end of the y4 crank and IT WONT FIT!! :( The end of this crank has a larger diameter when compared to my original y1 crank and so the old parts wont slip over the end of the new crank!!
Why is this so?? I heard that all d16 blocks are the same and only the heads vary.. What is going on?? What is the solution??
Finally, to what extent is this going to become a problem?? Will the water pump also not fit?? the tensioner?? the flywheel??
Please tell me everything you know ASAP!!
