Does anyone know a decent turbo that i could use on a B16A2?
I dont want too much boost so that i have to go to the extent of empting my wallet so the motor doesnt blow.
I dont know much about turbos but i heard the garret t2 runs on about 7psi which is what im after.
Hopefully there is something that i will only have to spend about 2 or 3 grand on to get up to that amount of boost?

theres no such thing as saying its gonna cost $X per psi of boost. just doesn't happen like that.

you can spend 5 grand and get 7 psi or you can spend 10 grand and get 7 psi. The difference will be quality of the parts, reliability and driveability.

2 or 3 grand isn't going to get you very far in a reliable manner. maybe 4 - 5.

What kind of turbo would you recommend that i get though?

I'm not in the best position to say but i'd be looking at any of the garret GT Turbos. (GT2876R maybe?)

You should really look into the kits that are available. You'll soon find that you won't be able to get too far with only 2 - 3 grand (keeping quality and reliability in mind).

Don't forget tuning costs, fuel system requirements, brake requirements, clutch fly upgrade, exhaust changes etc. Theres more to it then just manifold and turbo choice.

Its not just the turbo, its the whole setup. I would not recomend going cheap with a turbo setup.

So far i think the AFI kit looks best, probably go for the street kit because im only wanting to be running low boost.

Thanks for all the help!!!

Don't for get you will still need to get some tuning gear of some sort if you plan on using the AFI kit.

Best bet is to send of a few emails/pm's to tuners and see what tuning equipment they think will suit the kit of your choice. They should also be able to tell you a reputable local tuner in ur area.

There were couples of used turbo setup from the forum are selling. You can gives them a try for a lower budgets and upgrade the parts in the future. Even tho they are used but it seems more reliable comparing to the cheap and unknown turbo setup that you might be getting as the used turbo setup means "at least" they are in working order.
