hey guys and girls...

im looking into gettin tints for my civic.. and tryin to decide how dark i should go...

does any one have pics of standard 35? and also 20? or any other nice and n dark ones...

i already no wat 5 looks like.. so dont need pics of that...

any suggestions and pics (from any cars) would be great..

my car has 35% although it does the job i wish it was darker but hey i bought it like . then again with tint id suggest keeping it legal because it only takes one strict copper to dik ya for it

you'll see them if you google it.

35% is a disgrace..might aswell keep it without tints. 20% is a good shade.

dont need to open windows at night :)
but keep in mind in nsw, for your coupe, it is an illegal tint.

Just saw this car today

Tint was perfect during the day, looked perfect but illegal (for everyone else LOL)

duno bout warranties , usualy places that give you an illegal tint wont give you a receipt to cover there own asses

yer my bf has 5% on his lexus.. they are heaps dark... love em.. but i dont want that dark for mine.. to hard to see at nite.. thats why im thinkin 20 or 15..

also.. mine are sort of goin purple in the corners.. so that means im going to have get the current tint removed and then tinted.. instead of tinting over the top right? does TGZ80Y do that?? And cos my current tint is blue.. and i want black.. i need to get it taken off...

and yer im in sydney....

15 is the best i reckon if u still want to see outside during night time lol.

call rob from equip window tinting and alarm and say harold sent u and he can hook u up with a very good price with lifetime warranty :)

Martin (TGZ80Y) does it and will do it for 200 incl. removing old tint and adding new tint (well that was how much it cost mattchuej8 and should cost cristian (to my knowledge)

I got dark legal 35% tint on the euro on the weekend.
Still too light. There is sweet f.a. difference inside the car looking out.
I wanted 20%, but the missus said no for insurance reasons.

I say go 20% if your game.

i can get any car tinted in syd for $220.remove and retint! to just tint if you have no tint atm its $150. any tint % and any colour :)

I read heaps of stories last week when I was looking what to get, bloody funny some of them! I got a good mate in Perth that crashed his car in a car park because he couldn't see shit LOL!

haha i wish i could get 5% they look awesome... mean as... my bf has them and i love them... but i cant see out of them well enuf during the nite.. so 20% is fine by me.. and still looks sooo good :)

theres no big dif between 15 and 20.

i got a coupe which is black like urz. id recommend what i got

5 % on the rear window and rear seat windows and %15 on the front.

Mine got done yesterday with 20% and looks sweet. I'll post pics when I've got 5mins. I got 5% in the little windows in the rear as well but everything else is 20%. It is a very rainy and horrible day here on the Gold Coast though so not a true sunny day indication.

think of it that 80% of the area is dark, and %20 is see through.

seeing outside at night with tints 20% below is hard, but u get used to it

This is my bro-in-law's Swift with 15%. I think it's pretty dark - personally I would go 20% for just a touch lighter but still look dark.

(http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/pdf/NCOP6_Section_LH_Body_Modifications_3Feb2006.pdf) On page 7) and it says it's 35% sides and back for a passenger car everywhere but SA (having to have lighter front windows).

cars made before 94, and tint done before 94 theres no legal limit. ive had tints past 35% since my first car. never defected for it
