Hey Guys, I've got the Kenwood X7006U head unit for about 1 year and recently the display on the face panel goes on and off randomly until about 2 weeks ago, it simply have no display at all. It still plays music without problem but i couldn't adjust the settings without the display... what can be done?
I've tried clean the connector on the back of the face panel and it does not help.
I've reset the unit and still problem exist.
If in the end i have to replace it, then can anyone suggest a good unit that are similar or better?
thanks HEAPS!

When you pull the head unit out you will most likely see a little black box amoungst the wiring for speaker power etc...
that is the fuse
Open the black thing up and the fuse will be in there
You can buy a fuse for it from Repco and stores like that
and no opening the cd player should be as simple as a screw driver :)

Check to see if the unit has a screen saver mode.
Sony has this feature and this happens a lot. People activate this accidently.
Otherwise there is a lose contact in the face itself. Have it sent away for warranty repair if under one year.
