Hi guys,

I short circuited my jump start >.< Now it cannot be recharged.
I took it apart and found an 8AH 12V VRLA (Valve-regulated-lead-acid) battery inside.
Using multimeter, it shows 0V now.

I tried charging it with normal car battery charger, no improvement.
Is the battery totally dead?
Is there away to revive it?

I suggest putting your tongue on it to see if it is really dead.

That must be before they invent a multimeter ya... :p
remember doing that on AA battery when I was a kid.
Can I borrow your tongue.. hehehe

an AA battery?

unless your tongue was long enough to reach around an touch both ends at once, it wouldnt do jack shit

i think you mean a 9volt battery, as both the terminals are on one end, so it shorts thru your tongue

if it wont hold charge then its ****ed

over charging a dead battery can cause a fire so dont bother just toss it and get a new one
