price is around $11k-16k nowadays and the average kms should be around 80,000kms-150,000kms. but they really depending on the condition

well thats dirt cheap since its from a dealer.

normally on private they would ask 15K and above for its mileage.

em1 were 1999, 2000.
if you assume 15,000 - 20,000km per year.
mileage should be roughly 120,000-160,000 (which is probably about right, go around on carsales, drive, carpoint etc)

price...all cars depreciate, lalala.
but it comes down to demand and supply.
simple economics.
em1s are quite rare, and V sexy (my opinions are biased)
i still see some going for over $20k...bit pricey but again, its demand and supply.

yeh they are quite rare

wat about parts for them? a lot of after market support?

i dun wanna get a car which is hard to get parts for >.< eg... broken tail light

not many wreckers would have them... and i'd have to go to honda for it :S

Parts are pretty rare... such as rear bumper and tail lights. Well you can source tail lights from the US.

are parts really that rare besides the tail lights? which can be sourced for a decent amount..

part's aren't really that rear! all the engine parts are easy to get due to its a B series motor, u can easily get from honda or aftermarket.

The only main rare part is the tail lights which are discontinued, all bumper parts aren't rare except maybe the rear parts..not to sure there

i guess if ppl were to get bumper parts, you'd just get a nice kit put on to it hey

surely there would be a body shop that has moulded the rear bumper >.<

anyways

checked one out today... it was nice... sweet car apart from the side skirts and rims that the original owner has put on there... this is at the dealer

my search continues... soo hard when your tossing between three different cars >.<

easy to change rims and skirts, worry about the car condition and not the mods as it can easily be changed

yeh thats what i was thinking tooo

few paint chips here and there... one big one on the front bumper... besides that it was pretty straight and engine sounded nice

130000 on the clock with a service history... asking price was 16999... a bit steep i thinkz

parts arent that hard to find, i havent had too much trouble sourcing parts so far. hardest would be tail lights and boot lid.

pretty much most things are interchangeable between the coupes, hatch and sedans.

btw, rear bumpers on EM1 are the same as the 4 door EK's, pre and facelift rear bumpers are also interchangeable.

i got my EM1 for $8600 with 119xxxkms and was completely stock from a used car dealer. it oly had 1 previous ower and has full service history and all original books.
only bad thing about it was the paint which wasn't looked after so i had the car resprayed.

it now has 131xxxks and has no leaks at all, engine runs as if it was brand new.

yeah, the owner of the dealership was pissed when he found out the salesman sold it as a non vtec - guy didnt know it was an EM1 Vtir. and to rub it in more, they originally wanted $9000 for it and i got them to knock $400 of the price.lol
