View Full Version : water in headlights
i just washed my car recently
and ive noticed that water got into my left head light
thinking they will evaporate sooner or later i didnt care
but its nearly been a week now
and i notice that the water droplets are still on the lense of the light
i dunno how to fix it
has anyone had similar problems?
i reckon it should be easy to fix
but i just dunno how to

sheesh, so much detail in that post...
gelo, take off your headlight, and unglue/unclip the lense cover with a heatgun (or oven if it won't separate still). wipe off any condensation or dry it out with the heat gun. put the lense cover back on the headlight assembly and heat up the glue with the heatgun so that you can squash the 2 parts together and use the old glue to hold the lense on.
then get silicon and go over the old glue with it to seal up the headlight properly.
i need to do it to mine, but cbf...haha stupid aftermarket headlight quality...

I've had the problem before, I took the headlight off the car and used a hairdryer thru the globe holes and it's fine now. Gotta do it for a while to get all the water to evaporate.

would be best to try and find the leak as well ie is the rubber seal between the lense cover and light sealing, use some silicone to fix and problems with this seal.
