vtec-ing it - does any1 else smell burning oil? DC5R

Hey guys just a quick question. When driving your car hard for a while do you notice the smell of burning oil? If i drive my car hard and vtec it alot after a while i notice this burning oil smell! Its a DC5R.
Just wondering if any other owners have/had the same issue and any ideas on what it is!

Fang an IS200, and the exhaust smells of old urine (ammonia)

on a serious note~ lol on my accord euro just recently i can smell an electrical burning not motor burning~anyone experienced this before smells like something is shorting out~and can be smelt when the car is turned off~i dunno about how to tell honda this ?~or what it could be. smells like in the engine~but its something electrical nothing to do with oil or fuel burning more like positive and negative wire touching each other smell

As for your electrical smell...are all the electrics working properly in the car? What about your battery termnals are they clean? I would go and get it checked just to be sure. My m8 put neons in his footwells once and fed the wiring through the firewall to the batery. The wires were too close to the engine and caught on fire spreading to other assorted wiring!

dirty battery terminals wont make the car smell like electrical fires....

if the car is stock standard... then its a honda job.... but it sounds funny that it remains after a few times and not just the once. this could also be something different. and you may be mistaking it for something else.

if it was electrical related you would have more symptoms then just a smell when u drive it and turn it off.. you would at minimal experience electrical problems or see smoke or flames from the place...

cars completely stocko~and yer it happens every time i drive it now~ for past week~iam also missing the windscreen washer fluid lid~ lol~i think i will take it to honda asap~as you said it smells like electrical fire~when you turn on heater aswell

Probably the smell of the fumes from the plastic and glues. I still get that whiff of new plastic new car smell when I turn the heater on my 2004 Euro.

yeh i dont think u understand what im saying... but i dont think its a bad thing.. because if it was it wouldve had an affect by now...
