its an entry level alpine amp, not the v12 or pdx model. In saying that, it's a well built amp with out being the best in sound quality.

from what you wrote, i think it will serve you fine

Get the Alpine PDX 4.100. Heaps more power than the MRP F450 and they sound great. I have one in my Euro and I love it. Also, they are very compact.

^ heaps more power?? Rated at 4x100wrms compared to the 4x70wrms (30wrms difference rating) It's true they're under rated however if you don't know much about sound quality, i doubt u'd hear much difference.

True, they are the better amp (pdx4.100) and would sound a lot better however your system depends on your budget. It'd be roughly $250 extra for the PDX amp (which in the long run would be A LOT better).

Secondly, what are you powering? If you're just powering your STOCK speakers... i would recommend that you NOT buy ANY amp. However, if you are buying speakers, that $250 you saved can go towards a good set of entry level component speakers (or splits as some call it).

More info would help (ie. if you are buying speakers, subs, amps etc and model numbers)

Btw, do NOT read the MAX POWER ratings. They are total crap. What you want to know is the RMS power output, that is the true power rating.

edit: forgot to mention that the F450 amp is a reliable and quality amp. My mate has one in his car which powers his Eclipse SC6500 speakers. The amp itself just isnt top of the range as Rahul said.

The PDX's are all officially tested at the factory and the output is on a slip of paper in the box when you buy the Amp. Mine was rated at 126 per channel. So that is almost double the power.

I heart the SSS
