Possibly the switch has dislocated at the back (cant remember the specifics) but i think the problem solver could be the pull the climate control out and flick the back switch

Well that is what i have read but i will let someone who knows exactly what to do and what the problem is answer

ahhh sounds logical..

so does the thermostat actually affects the activation of e heater? hmm

The car thermostat to my knowledge does not control the heater

But if your thermostat is stuck open the heater will not work as it is supposed to. Does your temp gauge read where it should be?

The heater should still work when he is stuck in traffic and the coolant temperature goes back up.

I wonder if he has an airbubble in his cooling system. I had a similar problem before and had no hot air coming out of the heater. Bled the coolant system and the heater started working again.

its always at 1/4 whereby its supposed to read probably 1/2 or a little lower than 1/2

your thermostat has failed and is stuck open.
replace it.

based on your temp gauge not showing higher than quarter, definitely need a new thermostat

thermostat is at the end of your top radiator hose where it meets with the motor... there is a DIY

ive got i guess a similar prob. but not heating...driving the other night n the window fogged up..turned on the air cond to get rid of it, but didnt go away..usually it goes away instantly..this time it stay there for about 30mins and i had to keep wiping the window with a tissue to see...

but the air coming out does feel extremely cold..but dont understand why it didnt clear up this time..havnt tried since..

But any ideas why this is happening? = very dangerous driving at night n not being able to c thru the window.

is a thermostat problem on a honda normal?

i have the same problem. my drive and sit at idle for 5 minutes and it is normal temp. 1/2 way then i start driving (this is at night) and it goes down to to COLD. and when this happens, vtec doesnt even engage. is that a thermostat problem?

try using outside air instead of inside air...that works for me :)

yea i think mind did that too b4 it was fixed

and it'll b more noticeable now cuz it's so cold outside.

ur temp should only ever rise to it's warm position and just stick there
