A week into my new CU Euro and very impressed.

Came from a 2000 Subaru Liberty and there are just a couple of little things where I preferred the Subaru option.

When switching ignition off with lights on, there is a very gentle warning that the lights are on. The Subaru switched the lights off with the ignition. Would it be difficult to change the system in the Euro to do the same??

Another little irritation. If you open the door with the key in the ignition, there is a continuous beeping till you remove the key or close the door. I would like to stop that warning after a couple of beeps, as I have situations where I want to leave the door open and use the accessory plug, which means leaving the key in the ignition. Again, is it likely to be difficult to alter that warning?

I will approach the dealer at the 1000km service, but would appreciate opinions/advice. Thanks.

Yes it is annoying my old camry from many years ago also switched the lights off. Honda doesnt. Dont know of any fix for it.

Yes I find that very annoying too, like you cant have the door open listening to the radio either.. not sure of the logic and I wish it could be altered.. let us know how you get on.. lots of alarms is fine but not being able to adjust them sucks..

So you cant have the radio on while cleaning the car?

My berlina has the perfect system. Headlights stay on after you turn off the car for 2 mins or until you open the drivers door - whichever comes first. Turns back on when you unlock the car for visibility.

I have a CL9 and I assume you have the trip computer in the CU2... If you go into the trip computer settings there is something there for 'warning' beep or similar. That might be what your looking for...

Eco.

Weird! I just put the light on 'auto' and then the lights will turn off when i turn off my ignition. This is in a CU2 as well.

That must only apply to models with the "Auto" lights function (Luxury model?)

I think that applies to ALL warnings. ie you can turn all warnings on or off, but not just selected ones.

CL9 Luxury definitely doesn't have "auto" lights which is very annoying.

I don't mind switching on the lights myself, but the problem is that the dash is illuminated regardless of whether the external lights are on or off. I drove home from work the other night all the way with lights off...

Dim the dash light then on it's headlight off state, then set the dash light to the brightest when you have the headlights on, that should help with the visual.
