Headlight Wattage

Ok guys just a quick question, ive searched and asked many people and i keep getting varied responces...

90/100w headlights in my EG - will they melt my sockets?
Ive had them in there for about a month n nothings happened yet, but im not sure if that just means im getting closer and closer to blowing them.. ¿

over a lengthy period time yes it will melt your sockets,

also melts fues boxes and connectors over time.

I would suggest the Narva Plus 50 globes as an alternative to the high wattage stuff. They are still noticibly brigher than stock, and won't melt anything.
