View Full Version : Boot Cover - Thai or Japan.

Ok, i'm planning to get boot cover (plus hinges) for my FD.
Now i have 2 choices to choose :
1. Thai made
2. Japan made (Type-R)

the seller said,
Thai made, after 1 year, white powder layer will come out, because have powder substance.
But Japan made, guarantee, Not. Even after 2 year if come out, only very little.
Price ? $30 different.
I'm not sure, AUDM got which one.
Hit me with your opinion and experience:thumbsup:

why are you paying for it?

honda retrofitted them for free in he first batch of civics that came out and did not have them.

do you service with a dealer? if not call up and query it (they will need your VIN)


hmmm come to think of it that may have just been for the sport and vti-l but can't really remember coz it's been a while lol

Yes, free for VTI-L and FD2 only.

ok, put back on track. anyone experience with white powder come out after 1 year (assume AUDM=Thai made)

boot cover??is that the lining inside the boot??i got that in my VTi...i think it come with the 8th gen 2nd version as they called it....we dont get hood lining but we get boot lining...
is that what ur talking about dmx????

Its called boot insulation.No white powder at all and its just over 2 years now on the FD2. I've got a spare unit with the plastic hinges covers that they gave me by mistake.
