Can anyone help me??

My 92' Prelude (f22a1) has had problems starting for a while now but last week completly died while I was driving it and now will not start. I have gotten four mechanics and three auto electricians look at it and had the following work done.

- ECM
- Spark plugs
- Ignition Coil
- Distributor cap
- Rotor
- Fuel line checked and cleaned
- Fuel filter
- Injectors Cleaned
- Fuel pump checked

All this has been done and still no success. The car used to do this but I was always able to roll start it. The car cranks well but nothing else. Please help me urgently I need my car urgently!!!!!

Not sure if this helps but the last car that i had that had a problem like this(wasnt a prelude tho) it turned out to be the Crank angle sensor.. wont start if thats f'd might be worth a check

Problem has been fixed, turned out to be the tacho..... The coil was shorting at the tacho.

Happened again!!! problem not fixed, ECU has been checked out along with everything else. The wire has been bypassed from the coil so that the Tacho isn't in the curcuit and it ran for about 40 kms before it died.

could possibly be that the coil is over heating causeing an open circuit inside the coil

:wave:Sounds like an intermittent problem.
In that case, can you find someone else with the same vehicle and...
i) exchange coil, or
ii) exchange ECU
iii) or if it has a Powerchip, exchange the chip etc.
RSVP,
Cheers, T

PS An intermittent problem will explain why, the sparkies haven't picked up anything as yet eh?
