depends what you like mate. it all comes down to preference. alot of ppl with stockies prefer a different level to aftermarket wheels, especially when they are 18-20inch.
most ppl will prob say 32psi, but really for 18s i feel 34psi is about right a harsher ride but feels a bit safer in terms of stopping.
anywhere from 32-38psi is feasible for 18s.

depends on the tyre,
i have 215 40 r17 and normally use 36 fr and 34 r
i put mine 40 psi F + R :D
braking still okay, 2 twice braked until ABS activated, still can stop good.
share my exp. first time after changed to 18" (40psi), go to Honda service, thread read 6.5,
another 6 months same,
another 6 monthsthread read 6.0
after that forgot to check the pressure (dropped to 32),
another 6 months service, thread read dropped to 4.5 :(

mate really depends on what your tyres are rated.
reckon the best would be say 38-36, try not to go too high otherwise your like riding on a rock, and deaf as a b*tch!
now come to think of it i should check my tyres too.

yeah it does. Most 18in. tyres will just tell u not to exceed 50psi, which is dumb anyways.

So you guys are saying that going with 40 is probably good for both tyres and braking? coz i just put on my rims and i want to check the pressure often?
Also, the higher the psi means better braking? sry im just a bit confused and im new to modifying... sry..
thx guys for the infos!

i run 215/40/18 and i bump 34psi.
the tyre shop put 39psi and it was very bouncy and tramlining all over the place. reduce to 34psi and it's now perfect.

does the tyre look a bit flat with 34?

Always refer to the tyre wall for manufacturers specs.
I run this for wet weather conditions and plus 2-3 psi for dry weather.

i put 36 on 20" tyres to avoid bent rims, especially for low profiles

just a heads up for ppl with chrome wheels.
if your losing tyre pressure rather quickly, within a week it drops from say 36-30 it may be due to chrome rusting or flaking.
it is actually quite common with entry level chrome wheels, and even the high end ones.
basically, you need to take it to a tyre shop and get them to take the tyre off. then with the wheel, you use sand paper or equivilent and just go around the inside of your wheel to even out all the flaking and sort of cracking. ones its all pretty even, apply a small amount of clear silicone around where u have sanded to bring it back to the level, return to tyre shop put ur tyre back on and then you wont lose pressure. this has happened to 2 of mine.
very easy to fix, however if you leave it, it has a pretty good chance of splitting your tyre as the pressure will keep dropping and when you drive on it, you'll pretty much murder your tyre.
