hey guys i just noticed that when my b18b is in idle, the revs go up and down. from 1300 to 1500 revs, its not steady..what could be the source of this problem? and how to fix.. need helpl!

If your not talking about when the engine is cold and the Autochoke is engaged...
A searching idle can be various issues...but first i would look into these
IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) or the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve) these can cause a "roaming/unstable idle"..

haha yeah mayb thats the reason, but i didnt have any of these issues with my EG..

well my one does the same after i exit from like a motorway on cold nights. but i guess its just the engine tryna cool itself down because the temp is like all the way on the c..

GSI_PSI if your car is always on the C on your temp gauge your t/stat is probably stuffed

nah its perfectly fine.. but wen its like a cold night and wen i exit a freeway or sumthing its all the way down to the c. but as soon as i continue normal drvin on the streets it warms up again

thanks for the response guys, yea as suspected the idling problem due to the cold weather. no problems what so ever otherwise..cheers

my da9 used to do that till I changed out the thermostat and found it was sticking open.
