Hey Guys,
Just wondering on my D16Y8 what is the function of the sensor that is located within the intake tube. As im making a custom intake for my car. Is it needed, can it be reloacted?

Any Info Appreciated.

its the air temp sensor

you can relocate it to the intake manifold

ECU MAN - Is that an easy job?? Drilling involved???

yes there is drilling involved and tapping a thread ot two. and extending the wiring loom to the sensor. you will need a IAT sensor from a OBD I car or one that came from the intake manifold. if you look at the intake manifold closely you can see where you can mount it.

difficulty of the job depends on you machining skills.
