Hey i currently have a dc2 integra with a b18c2 with 113000 on the block.
I have been wanting to sell it and swap to a b20 vtec which i have a quote for 6 grand to do. I have designed the car for track driving and wanna keep it this way. Is it worth the money and the time?

wat are the power output from the b20 motor? wat is the 6 grand getting you? jus the block and head? perhaps the 6k could be spent alternatively to achieve the same/more power. give us some more info

for the 6 grand gets u a new engine drive away.
I was told it gets you 124kws
a b20b3 bottom with a b18cr head.
I was considering a k24 bottom with a k20 head type r
for 2700

2700 for the K motor? but u will need much more to get it into a dc2 chassis.
regarding the motor, i feel that i maybe abit bias towards the engine swap so imo, 6 grand or maybe even jus 4 grand could be better spent to achieve a faster setup. wat im reading is that, 6grand = B3 block with a CR head and intake putting an apparentl 124kw.
but u did say that u are building the car for track use and power isnt always a big issue. but for simiplicity sake, i say go for the b20 swap, to challenge urself i say build the b18c and it could possibly work out cheaper depending where u source ur parts

Hey buddy, I have a b20 in my dc2 and it cost a lot more to do than 6K. Its a great engine wouldnt have done it any other way. But if you dont want to spend the money and complete the setup, like I have seen a few people on here complaining that there B20 isnt fast enough. Just work on your engine and do suspension if you want to track it.
My B20 has forged pistons and a stage 3 Jun head and smashes heaps of turbo cars, but there are heaps of quick ITRs now. In the end its up to you, which way you want to go. Good luck with the engine :) Sounds like it will be awesome when its done. Great to see another Honda destined for track...

Get a CRV Block and a B16 head, not a B18. They flow better.
B20's have heaps or torque. But they don't Rev. Not really my cup of tea, but they are cool. And there's apparently the issue about the oil starve to the head.
I would rather jsut sell the Vti-R and buy a Type R and leave it.
