My rear window has some horribly what i suspect is home job window tint on it and its bubbled and makes it blurry to look out the back window....
Im wondering if anyone knows a way to get this off?
i imagine its pretty expensive to buy a new rear windscreen...
Do you think they will make me remove it for a roadworthy cert??
Thanks

they only charge about $50 dollars to take of a full tint in a car , so rear window shouldnt cost that much , although i know they use a heat gun

I saw an article, and they 'sweated' it off. They used a towel that covered the window and
used hot water.
You could try pulling it off, then you got to use scotchbright pad and get the rest of the glue off.

If you are going to get it re-tinted, just leave it to the tinters.

wouldnt recommend solar tint,
expensive/standard

from WATCHING someone do it to my car, steam gun and a blade.
steam gun to make it soft and more flexable.
and blade, like box cutter blade to slit it and u can pull it off

be careful of the heat thingys on back windscreen though

Tints are on the inside of the car.

the professionals use a steam gun to soften and remove the tint, then wipe the glue off with ammonia.
