I would go tri y header, custom 2.5in exhaust and Power FC with tune. Should be pretty good and rip any production turbo cars on the planet...:D:D

leave the brand name exhaust parts off the list & u might just scrape it for $3k.

have a look at the new neptune ECU,they are claiming 35% gains for this setup, lol, must be the miracle product all us NA guys have been waiting for...........

Tri-Y headers = $500

Nice muffler = $200
Custom b-pipe = $300
Hondata S200 = $900

might find it hard to get an s200 these days as they were discontinued earlier this year.

I'd put the money towards full exhaust and intake. Mugen intake + What ever cat back + good header. The stock ECU can compensate for these mods.

Mugen intake + toda headers + JDM cat + any catback + either a Power FC (if ur planning on further mods such as cams and stuff) or an e-manage (if u dont plan on doing anything else for as long as u have the car)

blowing the budget out a little there perhaps?

i'm running a neptune atm. accompanied by CAI, 4-2-1 5zigen header, hi flo cat (generic as it's just a cat) and a mugen twinloop

look me a while to finally decide on this set up but it runs very well and has given me the joy of driving my car now.

duno what setup ur looking for but there's just an example and i'm very happy with mine :) (compared to what it was stock )

Toda headers = $1250
JDM ITR cat = $150
Cat back = $850 - $1300
PFC = $700
Mugen Intake = $680

On average... $3800, with out a tune of the PFC.

cheers for the help guys, lol seems like everyone has their opinions which is expected, so your thinking i should hold off untill budget raises? or just not go with the comp for now?

would stock ecu be able to run toda headers and the rest?

id like to do more mods to it i guess eventually so mabye PFC is the way to go by the sounds of it or the nepTune one.

Yes.. leave the ECU for now. Do everything you can... and then get a ECU, and tune it.

That's the path I followed.

Quiet when driving normal. Loudish, when on full throttle. Nothing near the noise you get from Ingen or the likes. You do however, get this annoying whistle noise when on part throttle.

Injen also has the annoying Hyundai Excel whistle free of charge
