Your engine (A series?) when new was meant to use a 10w-40. So now you can use a 10w-50 or 5w-50. A 15w-50 might also be okay.

Can anyone actually recommend a specific oil tho? :)

depends on howmuch you are willing to spend though..
the mainstream brands should be ok.. like valvoline, mobile and just look for the "10w-50 or 5w-50" like what aaron suggested.

if you have the user manual it will be all detailed in there. If not you could search the internet for it, and chose an appropiate oil for your climate.
10w40 should be fine though

go for 0w - 40 man...
anything over 40 will be too thick. Especially for low km engine like yours.

Your Jazz is meant to use 10w-30. So thickest you should go is 10w-40. Thinnest is 0w-30. Use something in between like that 0w-40 or Edge 5w-30.

 There should be other threads,
But the basic rule is...
If you're using synthetic already, stick to that
eg. Honda, Elf, Motul, Nulon, and if your budget is tight, then perhaps, Mobil S
If you're using semi-synthetic, stick to that as well.
And remember to top it up with the same type...
Cheers, T
It's a good idea to remember that your engine relies heavily with the quality of your oil!!

If you have the money to spare, Mobil1 is 5w-50. Comes in a silver bottle. Penrite Sin0 is also 0w-50, which has the same viscosity as the 5w-50. Penrite HPR10 is a 10w-50. So you can use that too for a lower price.

For a 3rd gen like yours, the Castrol GTX2 would be a nice thicker oil for an old motor like the B20a
You don't want to go too thin on something that's aged!

GTX2 is a 20w-50 oil. That gives you poor cold start protection while the operation temperature viscosity is the same as 0w-50, 5w-50 and 10w-50. :thumbdwn:

Isn't the 0W-40 heaps?! Go for the 5W-30 IMO. I use it, I like it.

im using 5w30 Motul... bloody expensive drop but, and you get a bit of burning throughout the startup process... but feels really nice

There is one important disadvantage. Your wallet will be lighter. I wouldn't bother paying that much money ($95-100) for Mobil1 10w-30. I'd rather pay just $65 for Motul 8100 5w-40.

When you just changed your oil, does it take more crank to start the engine first thing in the morning?
