I remember there was a thread on it, but I cant find it. My window is haxored and if I try to auto up it goes up for a bit then goes back down.

The channels are too tight, causing the sensor in the motor to think that it has caught an arm and winding it back down. Won't be fixed by resetting.

or

That's how you do it (hold it down all the way + 3 seconds, hold it up all the way + 3 seconds), but so far I have found that my window auto up/down always works without needing a reset.

but it doesnt seem to be the problem as aaron said.

Try spraying some silicone spray down both channels, that should fix it.

Thing is, I have not lubed up my window channel in 4 years and haven't had this problem. He might have a misaligned window?

Me neither in 2+years.Maybe he does have window out of alignment. It wouldn't hurt to try though.

Use your warranty. I doubt it is something that we can help you with, eventhough we recommend you the best lube in the world.

if your going to DIY, use the spray silicone lube and see if it fixes the problem else see below.

use your warranty as it'll be worth it when you find the problem. DO IT!

Maybe one of the plastic window retainers that bolts the glass to the reg has broken, causing the window to go up and down at a angle.

lol but if you cbf taking it to the dealer, you sure as hell wont be f#$ked pulling your door trim off and having a butchers......

I got the same problem..

this seems to only happen on cold cold nights... (?) Weird..

I tried the Reset Power window thing, didn't work..

The way i get past it is insuring that the window never goes fully down, or when i want to wind it back up, i dont use the Auto Function - i wind it just a little bit, then i use the auto function...

No warranty so i can't ask a dealer :( damn.

Prob cost me an arm and a leg just to get it fixed.
