jus wanna know what u guyz think...
wanna boost my si civic..but its done round the 210K mark...

now if i boost it as it is..u rekon its gonna die on meeh? that is, max round the 8 - 10 psi mark....

if i rebuild the engine..its gonna cost me round 1K ontop...and rather get new forges and cams....which is the same price as a turbo kit..

questionn...

should i boost it now as it is and change small things...

or rebuild the engine and jus get cams and ecu.. ?

Geoof...after seeing the way u drive around town....(btw NEVER chase that crazy blue si...he is bad influence :)) I suggest you rebuild your engine now - then decide after - which route to go. Because, either way - at the amount of k's and condition - your current engine will not last through forced induction - or hi-revving with cams etc.

IMHO Rebuild+ turbo OR rebuild+headwork+cams etc.


btw...arent u buying a vtir later on ? if its in the next year or so id just ride out ur current engine...and pass it on when u get ur vtir etc.

Im in the same boat, i have a EH9 SI w/ 220k's on the clock and was either going to rebuild and turbo it or chuck in a B16A and keep ot NA.

I've only just joined the forum and got my EH9 SI so i cant offer much help.

how about compression test her first if ur worried. either way, just boost it till something happens. Hell when something happens im sure u can find something with lower milage to swap with it for under $1000. FOr good forgies ur looking around $1k +install.
