Will they bottom out on an EG? My EG is running perfectly on ITR suspension (shocks/springs/swaybars) however I want to be a tight ass and make it lower.

I have King superlows from an EG lying around.

I had them on my old dc2 vti-r (dc2 shocks) and it was FKN low but looked good. However, it kept bottoming out and scraping a lot around corners/bumps.

However, I bought them 'from an EG'. I think it meant to drop the EG 2" - BUT because I put them on DC2 (which is heavier) it dropped it almost 3".

So I'm just wondering, what can I expect if I put them on the EG (with ITR shocks). Should it sit slightly higher than when they were on the DC2? And will the harder DC2R Shocks stop it from bottoming out.

Is this right or am I talking shit?

I want N+, but can't afford $1500 yet.

im not sure about ur theory of the difference in clearance between the two cars using the same springs, it makes sense i guess..

as for bottoming out, it depends on the condition of ur shocks

this will determine how long ur shocks will last, because they are working with the rong length springs

if ur shocks are good, it wont bottom out for a wile i guess, depends on ur driving style

if ur shocks are old and half dead, they will prob give u problems straight away

i reckon they will def start bottoming out in time, but it could take a wile...

I just recently put dc2r suspension in my dc2, from stock vtir suspension to type-r it lowered the front around 1.25 inches. I have been over some rough spots already and the car doesnt seem to compress as much as my old suspension (stiffer). I say run stock dc2r suspension and the superlows and see if it bottoms out. Just keep the dc2r springs and if you dont like them and they bottom out sell them off.

Heres a picture of how much I have between my guard and wheel with the suspension.

It will generally be a loud thump and you can usually feel it.

Its just like when you jump a bike and you land. The impact.
Sometimes your wheels will bottom out on the guard aswell.

Thanks

As I said im running DC2R shocks too, so I know what the drop will be.

Maybe I should stop bitching and get N+.
