heyy guys,,, i jus bought phillips diamond vision globes for my car,, which replaced my phillips gt150 performance globes,, lights are tottaly blue...,, but i realised las nite in the rain they are shithouseee.. compared to the gt150's.
they look gewd though but on the car but,,, shithouse visiblity lol... does any1 know what the kelvin temp on gt150's are? i might chuck them back in,, but it hurts to spend 150 on the fricken diamonds visions and realise that gt150's half the price has way more visibility...

take them back to wherever u got them from.
i went thru all those sorta globes, and finally realised what u did, they are crap.
get a refund, and buy some hid's.
you get the nice effect that im sure you want but for an extra price of course.
im not sure about the kelvin temp on the gt150's.
but i say hid's or use the old ones you got.

they are crap!! that low rain/night visibility you experienced is the exact reason why they are not legal or ADR approved lights... no blue coated light is for that reason as the yellower spectrum gets washed away by that filter... the yellow tinge (under 4300kelvin) is what gives you your short range visibility.
for more info read here:

^^that will also provide you with other great alternatives for a far better price than anything available here.
I vouch for Osram Night breaker! Way better vision except IMO still quiet yellow. But yeh nice vision!

both are defectable also as they are not ADR approved for road use hence no availability in Australia.
They look stockish though which is hard to get busted for.

cars with blue lights are annoying as hell.
i pulled over to let one pass the other night
then came out behind and gave him a high beam!
how's that eh??
now he knows how i felt...
:)
LOL.. well hmm how would the cop know if its ADR approved or not? Just say its stock or something lol Don't think they are allowed to tamper with ur headlights. IMO the Night Breaker looks pretty yellow (I have it in now).

^^probably your housing or whatever your shining it against...
my test of both were consistent with those pictures.
but like any other halogens, say you were driving behind an undercover... get annoyed by your lights and let you pass then pull you over.
we all know what stock lights are supposed to look like, their yellow in the vicinity of i think 4000kelvin... any whiter and we know it's not stock... all the cop has to do is look at the actual bulb... blue coat/tint = defect with the ONLY exception of Philips Vision Plus as they actually applied for and passed ADR approval.
Nightbreaker and X-tremes have a MILD blue coat which is why it doesn't show when lit.
If you read my post#4 and look into the link i posted about blue coated light's you'd all understand why their stupid and pointless.
Yeh the night breakers barely look tinted... hmm i'll try take pics... dunno why it just looks yellow to me... looking head on to car lol. Ah wells yellow enough for me. Just needed to see better than what the previous owner put in (Phillips Blue Vision+)

yehhh.... der is probably really reallyyy low chance of getting defected on a normal h4 globe with whiter light etc.. lol,,, whereas with the hid's u can really see that different type of light.. its so obvious wen u see sum1 with hid's comparedd with standard h4 type globes... and coppers get u 2 pop ur hood nd der u go a nice ballast sitting infront of yaa
HIDS FTW =) common Chris uno u wanna get them lolz

yeah i had the Philips diamond vision and i couldnt see anything at night. also for some reason when the bulb blew it melted the terminal you plug it into in the headlight, i ended up just getting normal globes to replace it.

I think you are using the extended wattage.. usually wire melting is the problem if you use the extended wattage bulbs. I think.
Thanks for the points guys. Appreciate it.
