I may of missed something but does anyone know the torque setting for Project KICS R40 TI Lugnuts? I cant seem to read anything in the info that came with the nuts. Every other type of aftermarket nut i have dealt with always had a recommended torque setting. Call me anal but i just dont want to wreck my shit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

cheers
Trav

Nice nuts

I follow the torque setting from the car manual, not by the nuts.

So when it's aluminium, it should torque it less or more?
Aaah... learn something new every day

i'd have a punt that aluminium is softer than steel which is why you'd have less torque on them

iirc ti's pretty hard though, i'd just torque it up as normal, just be careful not to scratch those babies ;)

aluminium is softer then steel. i used to torque my BC's down to 88ft-ish.

im pretty sure the kics are Ti coated. I dont think they are actually made of Ti lol.

thanks for the input. :)

haha sorry i can delete the post if you like :p
i'm assuming they probably won't be too great if you're in sub zero temps
but with the aussie whether it should be fine, just stay away from beaches;)

my dream hasn't even started yet, can't find any open ended ball seat lug nuts yet.. found a set of black nsx nuts but the damn socket to take them out isn't long enough to reach in with extended studs

do it to OEM spec mr travis. Which is....

118nm or alittle more to be safer (i do it to about 132nm ofcourse in a cross pattern and when the hub is COOL)

Hand tighten these is probably the best way to approach it.
