I went to get a wheel alignment today and my rear toe setting was way off.

Driver side rear had massive toe out and as a result tyres got worn very quickly!

Apparently they couldnt adjust the toe settings anymore as theres no more room to adjust it back.

Any ways to fix this?

Thanks in advance

more info?

what car and suspension set up do you have?

car is a dc2r- currently running standard suspension.

I have changed between b/w coilovers and standard a few times and ever since the change back to standard the toe has come completely out of whack.

from memory camber was 0.05 on that wheel

getting a camber kit to adjust the camber but what can be done to allow adjustment to the rear toe?

I'm assuming you are saying atm there is massive toe out and there is no more adjusting range avail to put it back towards zero toe?

It's quite possible the car had a whack at a kerb or something at some stage and put the wheel totally out of whack and someone tried to correct the toe out by cranking out the toe adjustment towards zero toe and the toe out still massive at the end of adj range.

If this is the case take it to a suspension shop who specialises in accident repairs so they can tell you which component(s) is bent and needs replacing.

^ yep spot on.

would any smash repairer be able to locate the problem?

a smash repairer should be able to distinguish what is bent and what needs to be replaced.

i'll say you have a go at fitting a pair of camber kit which should cost you below $150, because the rear upper control arm are not directly above the axle sometimes a adjustable arm could help you fix the toe. To be honest, if i was a panel beater i'll walk away, it could costly and time consuming repair. I suggest you have another good inspection of all the individual suspension components before you go out and spend big dollar to fix it. remember, rear camber adjustments have an effect on the toes!

Good info.
I am in the process of ordering a pair of adjustable camber kit, hopefully that will correct the toe issue.

honestly, I wouldnt know what to look out for. I've taken it to a few panel beaters and by the sounds of things they have no idea which components are causing it. pretty much saying replace the whole thing.

will see how it goes after the camber kit is installed
