View Full Version : [DIY] Shift boot change 92-95 EG

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!


Aim: A step closer to JDM interior

Required:
*Screwdriver
*New shift boot with red stitching

Steps:

1. Unscrew all the screws marked with green circles (4 screws), need to pry open clip below handbrake to access 2 other hidden screws.

2. Twist off the gear knob and then pull out the whole plastic cover.

3. Unscrew 2 screws thats holding your shift boot bracket to the plastic cover

4. Take off EK shift boot and put it in your EG bracket. (EK bracket is not the same with EG bracket, so you will need to swap the shift boot)

5. Screw the EG bracket (now with red stitching) back onto plastic cover.

6. Put everything back and don't forget to clip the clip back on

lucky theres n info for this it took me a while to figure to change the leather , didnt think it was tht easy

i just got my mum to stich some red string down the side of the seems of my stock eg shift boot! she did a mighty fine job, looks identical! thanks mum :D

i should get her to write up a DIY! LOL

lol if you cant do this mod without a DIY i wouldn't trust you near a screwdrver
