OK, stupid question time - Need to check if I have connected the rad hoses the right way around.

Does the TOP rad hose connect to the Thermostat connection at the back of the engine (Like it says in the Book in section 3-3), or does the BOTTOM rad hose connect there? (Like it shows in picture 1.1b on the following page of the same book) Could someone with a B18C let me know - I don't have a working car available to look at. :o
