Yay! I got my boot liner and dash mat on the weekend, they look good.

The dash mat is a must IMO, makes the car look a lot more tidy.

Will post pics this afternoon, after I give my cars a bath.

If you're 65 dash mats look fantastic. Don't forget the tissues on the rear beige parcel shelf.

ya i have to agree man, in my old mazda it had dash mats, first thing i did when i bought it was to torch them, i just dont see the point of them with all the other topnotch stuff u can buy these days

A+ on the liner tho

That bootliner looks nice - has flattened out the multi-levels, but also looks like it might have reduced the amount of usable space.

Is there any noticeable difference? I already have a tight squeeze with my golf clubs.

the dash mat obstructs your airbag, that's why honda do not offer it as a genuine accessory

Nax
18-08-2008, 10:40 AM
i never thought of that, thats a good point actually, ugly and unsafe,

panda[cRx]
18-08-2008, 11:00 AM
it's not only the euro, all the current honda range is the same and there is no genuine dash mats available for any current honda.

if your dealer sold it to you i would be questioning them as to why they sold you an non genuine item that will interfere with airbag deployment :)

Dash mat brought at Honda dealer. Unsafe? Don't think so.....

na its true, not a geniune accessory, they also advise u not to drive with anything attached to the steering wheel or the large portion over the glove box as when the bags deploy it could shoot off

in this case its just a might obstruct scenario, peronally ide rather know my head isnt gonna go the way of a dropped melon then having velvety dashboards

I thought the CU2 dash finish looked too styrofoamish. I think the carpet is much nicer.

Yes, its my car, and yes, it's staying. ;)

I wouldn't take it out even if some guys on a forum hated it LOL! :p

Bobjones
19-08-2008, 01:59 PM
No it does not, it merely makes access to the tie down points hard, though I think there is parts that can be cut out to allow access through the mat. Though don't quote me I have had the car two days and only just worked out some of the radio functions...don't have time to play until the weekend...lol

Boot liner looks great, not a fan on the dash mat.
The way i see it is, most ppl won't own the car long enough and let it get in that poor condition if they are concerned to warrant such an eye saw. I really like the the boot liner though i think it looks cool!

It is worth it, the boot liner. It is made from flexible hard-ish plastic and will save you when that bottle of milk that you bought has a defective lid and spills all over the boot. Without the tray, your boot would smell sour FOREVER!

Go and visit Clark Rubber, buy a piece of waterproof carpet, remove existing Honda boot carpet, place on new carpet, cut around shape, replace Honda carpet, put in new carpet. Job done for around $30.

clark rubber mat not the same, thought about it myself till I saw the OEM liner....if you drop fluids it will run down into the bottom of the boot, spillage !!

No comparison to a proper moulded tray which keeps fluids in the tray and away from your chassis.

BTW, I paid $50 for my boot tray used. hahaha

got one also in my cl9

very handy only downfall is that it makes items slip like crazy, however it is easily solved by getting some non-slip mat from the likes of clark rubber, trace and cut the mat around the boot liner and it is a clean look

I bought a $20 boot net and hooked it down to the 4 points in the boot. A little tricky since 2 of them are under the boot tray, but it is possible. All groceries go underneath the net.
