Hey guys,

i've been searching but havn't been able to find a solid answer yet.

i have REPLICA recaro's atm and am in the market for some rails to fit into my dc4.

i so far understand that the mounting points into the car are the same between a DC & EG, that the mounting points to the seats are on the bottom and not on the side and that they may not be a direct bolt when using dc2r rails because i have replicas [thanks to jdm_kid].

i just want to know some extra things from someones experiences or knowledge:
- Can i use original dc2r recaro rails and if so, Did/does it take much to modify the seat rails to fit on replica's?
- Do you sit alot higher with the original seat rails from a dc2r and if so should i be using vision super lows?

Any input or info at all would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if its a long post or if its a really obvious answer.

Thanks

Noone can know if the DC2R rails fit or not since they're unkown replicas, you can get custom brackets made to suit DC2R rails if they don't fit.

Otherwise using DC2R rails or Vision rails is totally up to whether you want to sit at normal height or super low.

ahhh that makes sence.

when you say brackets... are they just pieces that are bolted on to the rails to make them fit?

and also, just to clear things up, do the rails from dc2r recaros bolt to the bottom of the seat or the side of them???

Dc2r rails are bottom mounted. You can get brackets made for pretty cheap, they bolt to the rail, which bolts to the chair. :D

so then would a bracket raise the height of the seat?

i have replica recaros and dc2r rails now and im guna have to get brackets because the holes dont line up. has anyone done this exact thing? as in replicas with brackets in a dc?

thanks

ive used other seats with my rails and had brackets made, it can be made out of a thin bar of metal so it won't be that noticeable. If it's too high for you, look for some Vision super low rails from JDMYard (one of the traders).
