Check all power connections especially the ground. The grounding point should be clean and free of paint

Seems like u have bad RCA cable to an amp. If you have an amp, unplug the RCA. If it goes away, it's coming through the cables. They could be bad or running along a high RF wiring harness somewhere. Reroute the cable or replace.

it's properly the alternator noise..power cable causing interferance to the rca signals..
try this, check the pair of rca that is causing the problem..
get a extra rca cable..run it directly from the head unit to the amp replacing the rca that has noise.. see if that clears it..if it does..then you will need to rewire it somewhere else other then the left side along with your power cable..

i had the same problem with mine and i need to rewire my power this weekend to fix the problem..

What type of car and head unit? Is it original head unit?

BTW after some research online.. it seems that the pioneer head deck are known to have this issue .. their solution: Wrap some naked cable around the rca connector on the head unit. this eliminate the ground loop cause by poor design of their grounding of the PCB.. meh who knows.. some claim that it fixed their problem..so if you had a pioneer and are sure that all your cables are good.. try that

have a look in the thread a few ones down from this one, called "whining and popping noise coming from speakers", or something like that, i always recommend you check and re-do your earths on the head unit and amp first before moving onto the next possible cause

if its pioneer then theres a good chance the SMD fuse on the RCA section of the PCB has blown, this is caused by the installer!

pioneer dont have blown fuses straight out of the box...
