Quick D16Y8 Question

Looked on some sites on the net for engine specs and it states then my D16Y8 is "VTEC-II". I know about the varients iVTEC and VTEC-E.

BUT

What does the "II" stand for regarding my engine? :confused: Tried Search But Nothing.

From my memory, Honda Japan say D16Y8 is a 2 stage SOHC Vtec while B16A is 3 Stage DOHC Vtec.......if i m wrong pls correct it~ :)

d16y8 was made in america. its ur standard SOHC vtec motor. hi and low cam lobes.
