hey guys looking to purchase coilovers for my euro. came across a set of k-sport coilovers on fire sport for $1300.
Has any used these coilovers or heard of them before?
Spring rate at front is 12/672 and rear 7/392. Think they are from the US.

Also looking at tein cs or buddy clubs does anyone know which traders sell these?

you can try traders: jdmyard, jdmconcept, musecret.
otherwise try shop (tax will be additional for $1k+): perfectrun, nengun *nengun has a waiting period*

You may be better off going for a well known brand such as Tein.Traders here have them at a reasonable price.

Yes, JDMYard a good but they're not the only place in the world that sell car parts.

OP: Tein = crap unless you wanna spend over 2000 bucks.

i've been running K-sports in my del sol for almost 2 years now. not a single problem with them at all. good bang for buck, and great features (dual height adjust - allowing preload for corner balancing, damper adjust etc)

No noises/rattles from them either. I've been in cars with teins, and the suspension rattles like crazy. (not due to high spring rate)

due to pillowball mounts.

due to pillowball mounts.

pillow ball mounts are meant to soften the connection between the chassis and the strut. not make it harsher/loud/metal on metal sound.

K-sports don't have pillow ball mounts either. (at least on my ones)

Yea thats correct
i was looking to buy them from the same dude
but realised i can get tein SS for same price

i don't think d2 has too many support sources.
hence why alot of people have bought teins.

If you want pillow ball mounts they can be had on the k-sports for $80 a corner. but they are not as effective for the wishbone setup when compared to a mcpherson setup (quoting for civics with A arm setup, unsure about euro geometry someone correct me if they have a different setup). So they arent really required unless you really want to stiffen it up, and it will be noisier.

I have a set of k-sports on my car and have had no issues. Good bang for buck stuff.

Im pretty sure you can get them cheaper than 1300 from the guy beeza mentioned

Spring rates for euro are 12/7 i believe

Hey all,
I just installed K-Sport on my CL9, and are having some problems with the rear rattling. Tyre shop said they are not seating properly. Excellent coilovers though. Bought them from 999 auto, and Adam is going to have a look at the setup this week. Hopefully can get rid of the rattles. Free plug for K-Sport though! ;-)
Cheers.

chances are your springs are not captive when they're at full travel.

To make them captive you need to wind the collars up to the bottom of the spring to hold them in place. If you want you can preload the spring slightly by screwing the collars up a little mrore to compress the spring slightly before theres any weight on it. Try to do the same adjustments to both sides to get an even effect across the width of the vehicle.

Only other things that could be rattling are if the bolts are loose or if the metal brackets that are on the brake lines are hitting the body of the coilovers.

stick your own head under there and have a look. some mech miss the most obvious things at times.

Hey All,
Need your help. The workshop has preloaded the springs 10mm both F & R, however there is still a rattle. There is nothing else noticeable causing this. The workshop have stated that after installation if the coil overs were not preloaded then the shock may have bent. Is there anyway possible this could happen? Cheers.

I had k sports on my ek1 and they performed well couldnt fault them great bang for buck. Level of adjustment was great for the price.

Not much under 2k will beat them imo

Hi, this noob read the tread n wishing to be joining in the GROUP buy, so pls pm me more info of how much its will be cost in average of all numbers of ppls who r interests in this? btw i live in SYD

do we actually need the PRO eg. workshop to install this? or can we just do its ourself as i've my frenz whom has knowledge in this offering me for help to install this but i kinda don't know much about this suspension thing, hence i'm quite afraid if somethings is stuff up, i'm gonna be running into tons of problems[ right now so broke, after i just bought 06 CL9 all cash =\ ]

how much does its usually cost for the installation of this suspension? also what are important things we should be aware of when putting this into our car? like camber , spring rate etc...

I would never give my cash to randoms. I would only do it if they were a legit business with an ABN or ACN. If it was a private sale, I would get all the relevant information including the person's address!

same, post some thread of how k'sports goes in our euro, i'd been quote 1355 but still deciding if i should get buddyclub N+ instead for 1600 shipped from US, anyone here know about the import tax duty?

what if the seller put down declare its as low value items, will i still face import duty? also i'd seen on previous thread saying that any items < 1000 is tax free, is it true?

To save yourself the hassle..if dont really need coilovers then just get some konis and eibach springs for around the same price as the buddyclubs..

What do you mean by rattling?? as in an object rubbing against another? I just got my buddyclubs installed and there are slight noises especially going over a bump u can hear the shock compress with a hiss sound, that i assume is normal

Does your Jazz use pillowball mounts?
could be the reason to why your does or does not make noise.

Cause i get a few rattles from my teins.
I get the pillowball mount rattles and the shock *bop* noise.
The only way to reduce that noise is put sound rubber deadener in between when you install the strut to reduce vibration through chassis.
