hi guys, is it a peice of piss to convert my ek civic from a d16 to a b18c motor and what parts do i need to do so, as in do i need differant axles at all

so does everything just bolt up dont need to cut and weld things, im very mechanically minded i have done a few engine swaps in my time

Techincally No it wont bolt up. Will need to change a few items in order to make it "bolt up"

u will need EK4 wiring Loom
EK4 engine bracket
EK4 PS pump

with those parts, it will bolt on to your EK

Not to get to technical or anything, but how do you take a 'piece' of piss?

Ek4 engine mounts, compressor bracket, b18c radiator hoses, gearbox + linkages. need to adjust the fuel filter bracket and hose, and adjust the throttle cable.

power steering pump can still use the D-series' one

what u mean a ek4 wiring loom is that just the engine loom that comes with the b18 to the ecu?

Did u use d series power steering pump in your b series motor? im pretty sure u cant


You don't need EK4 mounts, its the engine bracket that you need from EK4, u can use existing mounts on your car.

yep, using the d series for the b18c.

I got mine fabricated. cos once the bracket's been fabricated, might as well change the mount. cos the mounting point is slightly different already.

So if i bought a b18c engine with automatic box (gf's car) with engine wiring and ecu it would be sweet and all i would need to swap would be the a/c compressor bracket, i pressume the auto boxes have the same linkage gear? and i would have to mod up the ps pump braket or get an ek4 one, and then an ek4 engine bracket and it should be a simple unbolt bolt up plug in job?

Auto box runs different linkages. Use a Ek4 p/s pump. Need a EK4 "T" engine bracket for the rear. Use the b18c a/c bracket. Need a Ek4 engine loom. Can retain D series a/c radiator, but will need B series a/c line (D series MIGHT fit)
