The VTi-R "Strut Brace" Mounting studs aren't anything special...they're just bolted on from underneath not welded or anything. Wouldnt be hard to make a custom stud with a thread lock bolt underneath and regular M8 bolt above...I would suggest you ensure the thread and bolt combination you get are high enough tensile to take at least 16ft-lbs of torque.

In all honesty though the stock VTi-R strut bar is fairly flimsy and if you dont have a rear strut bar you will find that the car is more balanced without it, the chassis may flex more but the understeer is reduced. Removing mine i noticed a fairly noticable differance in understeer, although i removed mine as i should be getting Tanabe Strut Bars in mail soon.

To get to the place where its mounted...simply remove the wheels and the fender lining...and you will see them next above the suspension mount.

As i said though, if its the stock vti-r strut bar and you dont have a rear one...i would definantly reconsider the installation...unless its purely for aesthetic purposes...
