my mate is gunna buy some deepdish rims with 0 offset for his 92 civic.
tho civics offsets are 35 - 42 yeh?
what happens when he tries to put these rims on?
190/150 tyres, will they fit on stock wheels aswell?

0 offset on an EG huh...
Depending on how much the car is dropped, it will require a lot of guard rolling/pulling and camber... lots and lots of negative goodness.
0 offset is prolly overkill for something like an EG... but yeh... pics of the rims on when theyre "fitted" :)

car is just dropped atm with springs 2.5"
and btw i've heard a lot of ppl tell me roll the guard..
:S what is that?? lol?
what you think, if he puts em on, would it be worth it, as a daily? since it is his daily

"Pulling/Rolling the guards"... basically means, modifying your fenders to allow enough room to house your low offset wheels.
The lower the offset, the more the wheel sticks out... thus giving it a "phatter" stance.
Thats why height plays sucha huge part in this...
Eg1. If the car was raised/stock... youd have sufficient room for the wheel+tyres to fit as there is enough clearance from the tyre to the bottom of the fender/guard.
Eg2. If your car was lowered, you're going to have to remmeber that the fender/guard, will impede with the tyre+wheel as it comes out to far, thus will produce "srubbing".
Moving on from Eg2, thats when camber comes into play - as the more negative camber you have, the more clearance it will provide from the bottom of the fender/guard, to the top part of the wheel/tyre.
Keep in mind though, negative camber causes the inside of your tyres to wear out a lot quicker than normal.

its illegal also to stick out past the guard.

gl to your friend lol
25 offset is probably max you should go, already rub at 25 offset if u lower it 2.5 inch unless at reasonable height. anything under 25 would rub like hell unless the car is stock height. Waste money on tyres, doing your guards, etc.

camber kit, rolled guards!!
you seem to be unaware of what the offset means
imagine your stock 15x6" wheel. 45+ vs 0+ offset
45+ will look stock
"0" offset will look 4.5cm's pushed outwards (closer to the guard)
15x8" 0+ wide will be 4.5cm+1" pushed outwards
you can run 15x6" at 0+ and have no issues.. at 0 offset, the width is what you gotta start worrying about
We just fitted 15x8 +0 today to delsol CRX
*185/55/15 tyres
*Camber kit
*Rolled guard
*Suspension set up
Will post pics soon

yeah guys i know the headach with the 0 offset but i really want it.........i had second thoughts about it and was thinking of going with the +15 offset but i cnt find the rite colour and typ i wanted and it will still look fat without a camber..........so 0 offset with camber and rolling the guards would be the look im after.........

Dont worry about what ppl are telling you, if this is the look you want, then go for your life :)
Hot offsets and camber go a long way in making a car look different from the rest.
Just be wary of what the repercussions are prior to doing it tho.. and weigh up if its possible/worth it.
So long as you know... :)

yeah thanks man.....its the look im going for......i know the consequences of it but i will never know how it wil be till i actually do the setup.....i mean i know alot of people are saying its going to scratch and scrape alot but i haven't seen any eg's with 0 offset around to believe it so if there is one around and i would like to know the suspension setup and how its going.....and i would love to see the del sol aswell to see how its going with it....as for now im still going to go for it

x Million on what Quintin said!
mohdmanutd-There are a tonne of 0 offset cars in the states (and alot of them are on sportmax's) and a fair few of them are daily driven and not garage queens
If you have a look on Honda Tech (USA) you can probably find there stat sheets and see what suspension there running on and find pics
Hell join up and post a thread about it (and be sure to search first)

It will change the scrub radius (i.e. the lateral distance from the nominal centre of the contact patch to the point where the steering axis intersects the road) by the same amount you change the offset.
Stock SR is probably about zero (or thereabouts), so moving the wheels outward (with zero offset rims) will increase SR by more or less the same amount as the offset on the original rims. This will create more steering kickback and probably torque steer on less than flat surfaces, possibly enough to cause significant problems, but maybe only enough to create a feeling of increased steering feedback (or both).
It might be a problem, but it's hard to say until you try it (or ask someone else who's already done it). Are there legal issues? Quite possibly...
