96-98 ek headlights sedan, hatch, coupe

hi this will be quick, it just for my peace of mind,
i called a spare parts guy for 96-98 ek headlights, and he told me that the sedan, hatch and coupe headlights are all different and aren't interchangable.
i thought they were all the same.
is he just pulling my leg or is he right?

I KNEW IT, that guy was wrong! he wasn't very nice to me about it either.

I think he only knows from the part number. the part numbers are all different. so to be in the safe side, he'll say they're all different lol.
