Rough/Bouncy idle

hey guys,

just noticed only recently during a cold start my car is really rough on idle...
wen you put load on the engine, ie 'D' it goes really rough.. sometimes below 500rpm, the ecu kicks it back up to 1100+ and then it just drops heavily again.
this only started happening now so im pretty sure somethings up... before it would idle up high even with load like 1000 till it warms up... now it bounces around... =(
any suggestions? you reckon its normal and i only jus started noticing it?

alright found out how to clean it..
afterwards would i need to reset the ecu?

not needed but in your case I would do one whilst to eliminate all the easy options first before digging into darker places

Yeah sometimes when the idle is hunting up and down it could be the iavc. Its the thing behind the intake manifold that's a bit annoying to remove.
