How would I go about wiring up an LED strip in my euro? I would want it to come on and turn off when my door open and closes.

I'm looking at something like this to put around the interior of the car.

Pics added. Went for blue. The really blue part is just the reflection on my leather.

That looks so cool! whats that thing called? (it IS the noob forum :P)

Fuse Tap/Adapter?

All of them on ebay are 12v, is that okay? I thought the lights in the car were 5v. :S

If i put it into the fuse 6 (interior lights), Will the LEDs have that fade out effect?

There is the fuse...

12v is the one you want as the power source is 12v but once it has gone through the transmitter it is 5v...
It wont fade out but it will turn on and off with the door....

Both cables coming out are positive so you have to find some where to ground the other wire...

Any suggestions where to ground the wire?

you will find screws and bolts everywhere under the dash... Just test one first if it works ground it....
I use to have a 03 lux but cant remember the exact point of where it was grounded sorry...

To anyone who is reading this thread, don't take this advice or buy that part. Its totally useless. I have found my own way of doing it.

Yeap. Some people, have said that if you just tap the wires from the door, it will overload the wires. But i guess thats what the fuse is there for.

I take no responsibility for any action taken on this advice.

But yea, Just tap the wires onto the door lights and tuck them away neatly.
(I've tested it and it works, but I haven't set it up neatly as I dont have time to take apart my door yet.

I'll post some pics up (maybe) when i've done it all nicely.

Edit: Anyway, I cbf taking my door apart, so i just did it another way. Works great! :D
