did some reading and would like to know if others out there have experienced this before and have any useful inputs.
-my car takes about 10mins to warm in the morning @idle.. is that normal? because my eg warmed up in half the time
- i also am having coolant loss. im not sure where it goes but every day i drive from the city and back and after 3days i will need to refill my overflow bottle because its empty
my thermo stat appears fine because during morning starts i had open the radiator cap and check weather water was flowing incase my thermo stat was removed or died.

get it pressured tested first before thinking about replacing anything major.

could b stuck thermostat though...
how many kms has it done??? ive done nearly everything on my system except the radiator and i still use a little water in the over flow... check the radiator cap could b buggered aswell

if it takes a while to warm up, check oil levels..................mate had same prob, topped up with oil and was fine................
water loss, if it aint dropping it and u cant find a leak, could be slight headgasket leak???????????
good luck, but yeh.............check things forsure before changing and spending money

or do the cheap stuff first...
what happens with the caps if the rubber cracks in the cap it wont pressurise and when it heats up the water fills the over flow and then overflows.. but when it cools down there isnt a seal to create vacumn when it heated up and it wont suck water back into the radiator and will be left into the overflow
if theres water in and around ur timing cover more likely or not the water pump is leaking out the tell tale in the pump
this happens when it wears the tolerances r less and then gives a gap this then leaks out the tell tale telling u to replace the pump because the shaft is buggered...
other thing u can check is the water pump hasnt broken a fin or the prop off the end and not giving u flow
