doing nothing is being an irresponsible driver... its might be ADR compliant, but you should still lower the beam.. the robot/person who installed the lights at the factory may have adjusted it too high.. you should still lower your light beam to be considerate to other drivers...

if you were the in the other person's show, you will want the light not going directly in your eyes

everyone's entitled to their opinion. maybe irressonpible is wrong word.. maybe more considerate to others...

if you find that your consistently getting flashed maybe you should lower them... if its ever odd person every now any then, then just leave it as it is...

yes but the manual height still has to be set correct so the car knows what is the correct level...

if your getting flashed ALL the time (not the occasional person that doesnt understand legal HID projector beam cutoff) you should lower them, chances are they're way too high, ive seem alot of stock cars (HID and halogen) straight out of the factory way too high...

i've had hid's since the first day i got the car and never been flashed.....i just adjust them abit lower than the usual high. i parked my mums car in front of my car at night and then park my car in the rear and then use my mums car as a guide to how high the beam should be. i keep it just below the boot lid and it seems to keep people happy

this has got to be noobish, but isn't the euro automatic height adjustment?
how can you change them ?

its automatic height compensation... so you set the height the lights should be... and then regardless of your load (fat people in the back) it adjusts the lights...

i made a thread ages ago on how to adjust it... i would try searching but my browser is being gay

NO. It is a caused by the Euro's HID projector design. It has too much glare. The cutoff line can be below the rear windscreen of the car in front, but the driver will still get glare through the rear view mirror. Cheap HIDs, the projector design is not as good as Lexus and BMW. I find Mercedes HIDs glaring as well.

Personally I wouldn't touch the head lights, the euro has one of the most powerful lights on the road, and thats a good thing.

Don't lower the head lights just lower the car's suspension ;)

i agree it definately is the glare factor. thats why im not a fan of cheap HIDs, using HIDs for those that are always city driving? (why would you need em in the well lit streets?) and those glary ones in general.

i wouldnt count the euro's as cheap... they're made in germany from what i could find...

and alot of people doing projector conversion like using the euro lenses...

its the fords/holdens/toyotas that are using plastic lenses and poor quality glass that produce all the glare...

Showoff.:).The dealer(mine does)checks the aim of the HIDs every 20K i think.It's only 10 min.job.

euro ones are alright only thing people get annoyed is when you bounce on the road.
That's when they think your car is high beaming.

Open the bonnet.Look at the back of each headlight, there would have to be some sort of adjustment.I know where it is on Euro not sure where on DC5.
